The Mid-Jersey Chapter of the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) has developed a scholarship program in an attempt to recognize students who have demonstrated a sincere desire to pursue a career in either accounting, business, finance, hospitality, or management information systems (MIS).
Each academic year, the Mid-Jersey Chapter will award up to two scholarships in the aggregate amount of $2,000, based on the merit of applications. Scholarship awards will be made at the recommendation of the Selection Committee, and approved by the Board of Directors of the Mid-Jersey Chapter. The award will be presented at a function sponsored by the Mid-Jersey Chapter.
Who is Eligible
(All three criteria must be met)
1) Active Mid-Jersey Chapter members, their spouse, their children, and full
time employees of member properties.
2) Acceptance in a degree program at an accredited college or university
3) Must have a concentration in the fields of Accounting, Business, Finance,
Hospitality or Management Information Systems.
Requirements
- Complete and submit an offical application by June 30th of the academic
year.
- Attach a copy of your offical college transcript or your current semester
schedule to the application
- Write an essay or personal statement (not to exceed one page) addressing
the following components:
1) Your career objectives.
2) What has motivated you to pursue a career in accounting, business,
finance, hospitality, or MIS and why do you think you will succeed at it?
